Cheap SEO

Why Cheap SEO?

Given how cheap SEO can be, It still amazes me how many businesses pay thousands of dollars each month to a Search Engine Optimization company to get their website on the first page of the Google search engine rankings when they could just as easily do it themselves, or get an employee to do it at a fraction of the cost. One of the main reasons for this is that most people still see SEO as some kind of secret art form that only people with years and years of experience can comprehend and understand. The reality is that with a basic knowledge and a clear system to follow, anyone can use cheap SEO solution to optimize their own website or even make money by creating their own internet business.

The Two Main Areas of Cheap Organic SEO

Search Engine Optimization is made up of two main areas. The first is on page SEO that takes into account whether the page is targeted to a specific keyword. A keyword is the word or phrase a person types into Google to conduct a search. If the page is targeted towards this keyword, it is more likely to rank highly for that particular search. Targeting the page includes having the keyword in the title and having the keyword appear several times naturally within the page, particularly in the first and last paragraph so that google gets an indication that your keyword represents what this page is about. This represents extremely cheap SEO as it costs nothing other than to keep these things in mind whilst writing the content.

The other area of SEO is off page SEO. This occurs when other websites link to a page on your website. This is called a backlink. The more backlinks you have from other sites, the more authoratative Google considers your content to be and so ranks your site more highly. This is the main aspect of cheap SEO and also the most difficult because you have very little control over other people linking to your site. But there are still several ways to achieve backlinks.

Using Article Directories

One of the best free methods includes writing articles that contain links to your site and posting them to article directories. There are literally hundreds of these directories on the web with Ezine Articles, Hubpages and Squidoo begin some of the best. Another free method is to join a web hosting site like Blogger or Weebly and set up a small website of your own with several short 300 word articles that contain backlinks to your main website. In both of these methods you have control over how many links get setup, but keep in mind the more backlinks you get from a single directory, the less each of those links will count with Google.

Using the Best Blog Networks

Once you have exhausted the free methods it’s time to move onto some of the paid methods. While these will cost you something, they are still extremely cheap SEO services when compared to paying a company thousands of dollars. The easiest version of this is to join a blog network. They can take the form of a network where you post several versions of the one article which they spin, meaning they combine the versions in different ways to create different articles that they then post to different blogs in their network. The best example of this is UAW which costs roughly $67 per month. Although this can give up to 120 links in one go, the links are generally lower quality because the blogs themselves are not considered high quality by Google and the article content is not completely unique.
Another example of a blog network is TKA which costs only $33 per month. This is one of the best I have come across for the following reasons.

  1. The blogs are owned by individual members and are hosted on different servers – this means that Google sees them as being completely independent rather than operated by a single person or business.
  2. They require completely unique content in their posts – Google looks highly upon this.
  3. The backlinks that you include in your post can be written within the post itself. This is usually not the case as most article directories and networks require you to put your links in a separate resource box. By being able to place your links in the actually content, Google can see that your link is directly relevant to the surrounding information and gives it more Google juice (authority).
  4. Blog posts that you write need only be 300 words long and they can include 2 backlinks.

Cheap SEO Software to Organize

But whilst this provides a rough idea of what is involved in cheap SEO, it still does not give you the clear cut steps to follow that allows anyone to do it. Even someone who has researched seo will still become overwhelmed once they try to keep track of the hundreds of links they need to build. This is where a cheap SEO software package comes in and as it turns out – that’s exactly what I am currently building.
