An internet home business offers all of the benefits of a traditional business whilst eliminating many of the problems associated with a standard real world business. Having owned and operated several businesses in my life including a wholesale fishing tackle business and a school photography business, I know first hand the problems associated with these. For instance, such a business has a relatively small customer base which is often limited to the local geographical area. 1. An internet home business can be started with no capital investment (assuming you already have a computer and an internet connection). Alternatively, you can use someone else’s site to make some quick cash in the short term. Once you are making some money you can look at areas in your internet business to invest your money to allow you to make more money more quickly whilst saving you time e.g. by buying an online shop for your site (around $60) or buying a cheap SEO program to help increase the numbers of people visiting your website. Because it costs so little to start a home internet business, it also means that you are not risking your money and therefore can afford to make some mistakes along the way as you learn internet marketing. After all, mistakes are often when we learn the most. In contrast, starting a traditional business, even as a sole trader will cost a minimum of several thousand dollars to cover equipment, rent and stock and any reasonably sized mistake can cause you to lose it all. Traditional businesses are not very forgiving.
2. An internet home business can be set up and grown in your spare time.
